Ours is a country that is the most populated in the world, where the country's public infrastructure has limitations of space, budget etc. to match the best international standards. While the infrastructure is slowly changing, it is important that we citizens do our bit to support eachother.
Imagine a government hospital with a huge inflow of visitors to various departments who need information and guidance. Yes, there are admins associated with these public spaces, but it is difficult to support such a large number of citizens. Also, being in an official position, they may not be in a position to keep us updated in an informal channel. Seva Club comes in here with an idea to provide a support ecosystem that helps the visitors by bringing together the support of the community.
For instance, the amount of waiting needed in a space like Guruvayur has doubled in the past 10 years. Most of the time, the local community can give a word of attention about an upcoming event, so that visitors can plan accordingly, to reduce their waiting time.
The local ecosystem should get benefited by being able to connect to visitors and showcase their service online. Similarly visitors can communicate with local service providers to plan and execute their visit.
For instance, a friend of mine wanted 50 kg of temple banana (Kadali pazham) at Guruvayur. How can the friend sitting in Bangalore plan it out? With Seva Club, my friend puts in a note in Seva Club, and a local seller responds with an offer. Its a win-win for both my friend and the seller.
If each of us does our small bit to support by sharing helpful information and updates, the sum total of all the efforts will be a huge push for the ecosystem.
We strongly beleive having a public chat room for these public spaces is the first step in improving the support ecosystem of these large spaces.
